Series: Designing Tech-Enhanced Instruction
The second week of EDIS 5070, we had to create our own website. Since I already had this site, I set up a section for my tech proficiencies, and drafted a teaching philosophy.

This week we learned about virtual field trips, and VR technology. I really wanted to find a virtual field trip of the Smithsonian Sculpture Garden, but there wasn’t one available. I settled on the Census Bureau, which turned out to be pretty cool!
For our final tech proficiency, we got to mess with robots. I had a lot of fun playing with the beebots and the ozobots. I chose to focus my tech proficiency around the beebots, and my tech enhanced lesson plan on the ozobots.
The first week of EDIS 5070, we were tasked with creating a introductory video targeted at our future classroom. I created mine using OBS, which is an open source video software used by many video creators, and twitch streamers.
This week we talked about unplugged CS activities and microbits. I loved working with the microbits (once I got them working with my computer), and designed a lesson and tutorial for a sample survey project. I look forward to creating more projects using the microbit in the future!
